THE EARTH´S MOVEMENTS

ROTATION: The Earth continually rotates on its axis. It takes 24 hours, or one day, to make one complete rotation.

This movement causes day and night.

The Earth rotates anticlockwise on its axis. This means the Sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

REVOLUTION: The Earth also revolves around the Sun. It takes 365 days, or one year, for the Earth to orbit the Sun.
